Frontline Managers co-ordinate and influence their teams to get the job done in the best and most effective manner. This program is designed to recognise and upgrade the skills and knowledge of Frontline Managers using your present position as a basis for demonstrating competency.

Assessment

Assessments comprise part of the course; they are achieved by simulated assessments, workplace assessments and group assessments where applicable

How long will the course take?

This will depend on the rate at which you complete the set work, but each student must have successfully completed all components of the course within 12 months of his or her commencement date to receive the designated award.

Course Commencement Dates

Language, Literacy and Numeracy

Language, literacy and numeracy expectations are based on the National Reporting System established by the Australian National Training Authority and the Federal Government. Have reading and writing skills to at least year 10 level

How does it work?

  • On-line Students: When we have received your completed application form and payment, you will receive your student ID number and pin number and directions of how to commence.
  • Distant Students: When we have received your completed application form and payment, you will be sent by express mail a copy of the course on CD-ROM or hard copy (paper) and directions of how to commence.
  • All Students: Following your registration you will receive the contact details and photograph of your individual facilitator who will assist and support you throughout the course.

As you progress through the course it will be expected that you forward your work at the agreed times by email or the post. It is important that if you are having any difficulty you contact your facilitator immediately.

Requirements

Online, CD-ROM Students will require:

  • have a computer or access to a computer, (check out your local library for the technical requirements of their computers)
  • have computer skills to a level that will allow you to access the information on-line or from the CD-ROM

If you already have some training, work or life experience in business practice you may be eligible to have your existing skills and knowledge recognised and get advanced standing for one or more subjects. Processes for recognition include:
